MANUAL HANDLING TRAINING

In-house training only.

The Patient Moving and Handling course includes a full Manual Handling course, followed by plenty of practice of the patient handling elements such as:
 

• Use of hoists

• Slings

• Slide sheets

• Wheelchairs

Duration:

1 day.

Certificate: 

On successful completion of assessment, candidates are issued with a certificate which is valid for 3 years, after which a one day refresher course is required. Please note that some regulatory bodies may require more frequent refresher training.

If your activities require significant moving and handling tasks, Risk Assessment helps to increase safety by identifying potential problem areas, and suggesting practical solutions to reduce the risk.
