Certification:

Successful candidates will be issued with a certificate, valid for 2 years after which a 2-day refresher first aid course is required. This includes a Cardiac First Response (CFR) qualification.

A FAR Refresher course is required every two years. The new standard of First Aid training in the workplace. FAR Training replaces Occupational First Aid and is for childcare workers, hotels, factories and all businesses requiring first aid trained personnel. Please remember to bring your last FAR Certificate.

Certification:

Successful candidates will be issued with a new certificate, valid for a further 2 years. It includes the Cardiac First Response (CFR) qualification.

The Cardiac First Response (CFR) Course is becoming the first standard of care in the community. Ideal for sports clubs, communities, schools and individuals. The course covers a range of topics related to cardiac and respiratory emergencies. It will also teach you when and how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).

The course focuses heavily on practical skills and student participation. It is a video-based, instructor-led course that teaches:

Adult, child and infant CPR
AED use
Choking treatment for adults, children and infants
Administration of aspirin

By the end of the course students will have completed numerous cycles of CPR while using a defibrillator. This is designed to make the student more comfortable and confident should they ever need to carry out the skills for real.

Who's it for?
This is an ideal course for those who want to learn CPR and AED use but who are not expected to use it regularly. This could include non-healthcare personnel, sports coaches, teachers and parents as a very small example. This course is also suitable for non-acute healthcare staff such as healthcare assistants, medical secretaries and dental nurses.

It is also an ideal course for communities as it teaches all of the essential life-saving skills with a recognised qualification.

A good introduction to life-saving skills. Suitable for Sports Clubs and companies who may wish to complement their existing first aid team.

Duration: 1 Day - half day courses can be provided when required and depending on your needs.
